Dear Friend,

As the Lord Jesus Christ ascended back to Heaven after His resurrection He gave one final word of instruction to His followers.   He said, Go ye in to all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  This Great Commission continues to be the mission of those who follow Christ today.

As part of my fulfillment of Christ’s command, the Lord has called me to participate on a mission team that will travel to the Dominican Republic, December 28, 2016 through January 5, 2017.  Our team will assist missionary church planters, orphanages and native pastors. We pray that through the work of the Holy Spirit, lives will be transformed and that lost souls will be brought into a relationship with Christ Jesus.

As we pray for God’s blessing on this upcoming trip, I invite you to become a part of our mission team. There are two primary ways in which you can participate. First and most importantly, you can pray. Prayer is the single most important element for the success of any mission trip. Therefore, I ask that you pray for this project to accomplish what God wants to happen…for lives to be drawn to Him…and, especially, I ask that you be a daily personal prayer partner for me during the week of our trip.

Another important way for you to become part of our team is to participate financially. In addition to the gifts of the mission team members, substantial financial support will be needed to accomplish the work God has planned. We are raising support as a team, and I invite you to give generously to help make this mission team possible.

Our Dominican Republic Mission Team will be commissioned on Wednesday evening, December 27th. The team asks that, if possible, all our prayer/financial support partners join us for this special meeting as we consecrate ourselves.

Thank you for your support of this exciting and important mission.

Yours in the love of Jesus,

Calvary Dominican Republic Mission Team
